This book does what it says.

It starts you off on a journey to writing

beautiful, elegant letters.

Although many people use computers

these days, there is nothing more special

than writing.

Even if it's just a little note with a gift

it can make it that more special.

I have recently started my calligraphy journey

and this book has really helped.

The book discusses everything from the pen

you will use to the paper you will write on.

I love the fact that Judy makes the process

so simple and puts confidence within you

at an early stage.

I really like the fact that she tells you to

warm up.

Doodle and get used to your pen again.

It's amazing the difference it can have

when you are starting to write.

Judy then takes you through the different

shapes that you will write with.

This is a very important part of the book

as it begins you on the steps

of how to create your letters.

Each step within the book helps you so much.

She talks you through the things you will need

to be aware of when you are writing and

how they can make a difference.

Judy takes you through writing a basic

alphabet.

This means you will have the basic skills

to use to create some amazing things.

Everything from menu's,

invitations and name cards.

At the back of the book Judy supplies

you with examples of other alphabets that you can use.

Overall a fantastic book for any beginner

that wants to start on their calligraphy journey.
