What You Doing Wednesday Week 197

Good Morning Everyone!
I hope your week is going well!

Well it's been a big week for the UK
this week.
We voted to come out of the EU.
A lot of people don't agree but
obviously a lot of people wanted to.
What ever you feelings on the matter
I personally hope it's the start
of being proud to be British
and promoting us and our country.

I love the fact that the US are proud to
be Americans.
I want it to be okay to be proud to be British.

I haven't been very well.
That's not actually correct, I feel well
except for the fact that my neurological
symptoms are playing up.
The doctor is sending me for loads of tests
and then it's off to see the specialist.
I keep wobbling, falling over, forgetting words,
forgetting sentences half way through.
Unable to spell a lot of words (thanks spell checker).
I forget everything and I misjudge where everything is.
This means I drop things and walk into things regularly.
It's making things a little difficult
but I'll learn to cope with the new me.

I have a few things I am making this week.

I am learning how to String Art. It's from a fantastic set from #Klutz Books.
You get everything you need to make loads
of amazing pictures.
I am already addicted.
It's a fantastic craft for most ages.
It's also a craft that isn't going to break the bank.

I have started on the week 8 squares
of the Scheepjes CAL.

Now it's your turn to share what you are doing.
It doesn't have to be crochet, anything you are making
is perfect.
Please add the pin to your post & check out a couple
of other people that are sharing their work

I am a huge fan of Debbie Shore.
And this book has surpassed her previous books.

The book is jam packed with 20 colourful toys
and accessories.

This is one book that will be used time and again
for gifts for children.
The projects are such fun and with Debbie's
hints and tips you will find them so much easier.

From the start you will find projects you really
want to make.
To be honest I might even make a few for myself.
The craft easel is brilliant and would be ideal
for any age.

The bright colours are ideal for children
and make each of the projects
ones that they will want.
They will make brilliant gifts.
They are things that would be used time and again.

My son is getting a little older now he is going
to be ten.
However there are still projects in the book
that he wants me to make for him.
My first project out of the book is apparently
a pyjama eater.

There are some projects for girls and for boys
and there are quite a few that are unisex.

Debbie's books are brilliant.
The instructions are always clear and they
have fantastic pictures to help you on your way.

This book is worth every penny!
Brilliant as usual.
Debbie is outstanding.

That's where this book comes in.
You can choose what to make and what
fabric to make it with.
You can make the perfect bowl, box or vase
just for you or as a gift.

The book has 15 projects that are quick-to-make
and 45 inspiring variations.
Each of the projects is different from the next.

From there it's onto the cutting & construction.

Some of the designs are more complicated than
others but this is needed to make

I've Made Friday Week 196

Good Morning everyone!

I'm afraid I haven't got a finish
for you this week.

I am having a fun week sorting
out Red Monster's bedroom.
He has finally decided that he is going
to sort his toys out and get rid of some.

All the toys that he doesn't want
are either going to be sold
or given to charity.
Luckily he doesn't damage any of his toys
so they are all as good as the day they
were bought.

His birthday is coming up so we need
more space for everything he
will receive.

This year he wants a trampoline party.
So we are also currently sorting this out.
It isn't cheap so he can only have 10 friends.
I am sure they will have a great time.

So all in all I haven't had anytime
to make anything.
Once Red Monster's bedroom is clear
I might be able to get some time
to make things!

I would love to see what you've made.

Now it's time for linky love.
Please feel free to share anything you've made.
  • Please visit other people to see what they have made.
  • Add the link to here on your blog so we can share the linky love.
  • I will try and visit as many people as possible.
  • I will reply to all comments as soon as I can

Make Pincushions ~ C & T Publishing ~ Book Review

ISBN: 9781617452550
Publisher: C & T Publishing
Publication Date: 21 April 2016
RRP: £9.99

Available direct from Search Press.

I love this series of books from C & T Publishing.
They bring together different designers
and create some amazing projects.

I love pincushions.
I collect them including ones I make
so this book is ideal for me.

Each of the designers create their
own look of project and fill it with
their own personality.

Using sewing, embroidery and different
designs the projects are all different.

The pincushions are great fun and the
only problem you may have is choosing
which one to make first.

The patterns have full instructions
including diagrams to help
you put the pieces together.

All the patterns are held in the back
of the book and are of a full size.
I personally will copy from the book,
just to use to create the projects.

I'll be making quite a few if not
all of the designs.

All the designs are great fun
and make fantastic pincushions.
