What You Doing Wednesday Week 190

Good Morning Everyone!
I hope your week is going well!

As per usual my week didn't go as planned.
On Thursday evening my pain decided to return.
I had already written my post for Friday so
you weren't aware.

I ended up in A&E.
It was sooo packed it was unbelievable.
I got D to drop me off so he could look after Red Monster.
I got worse and worse and went to the bathroom
as I was feeling really rough.
I ended up collapsing and couldn't get back up.
I pulled the cord and luckily someone came
and found me and rushed me into A&E.
They managed to find me a bed which wasn't easy.
The only thing is they forgot to put me on the system.
So once they ruled out my heart as the reason
for my collapse they left me and said someone
would be back to assess me.
The only thing is I wasn't on the system.
There are 16 beds in A&E and there
were 56 patients.
That isn't including at least 40 waiting in reception
waiting to be seen.
I was there for 3 hours before my mum walked in.
As soon as I saw her I burst out crying.
I had been in so much pain.
I couldn't reach the nurse button, I couldn't
get anyone's attention cause it was difficult
to talk with the extreme pain.
Anyway mum stepped in and got me help.
The pain relief didn't really work.
They took a slight edge off but it wasn't
really doing much.
I ended up getting a bed on a ward about 3 am.
They decided it was a problem with my gallbladder.
After a painful night I was sent for a scan
that confirmed that my gallbladder had a gallstone
in it.
The large gallstone kept blocking the tube so
it was infected and inflamed.
Anyway long and short of it I spent the next
3 days in hospital being treated.

Luckily I managed to get out on Mothers Day
and spent the afternoon with Red Monster,
D, my mum and other family.
It was the best mothers day ever, once I got out.

I did actually meet some fantastic people
whilst I was in hospital.
They made it a good laugh and we all helped
each other to cope with everything we
were going through.
There were 4 of us with gallstone issues.
One lady who had a fall at home
and was 93.
She was from Liverpool and whenever she
brightened up she would sing.
The first early morning when I had no sleep
I didn't appreciate the 4 hours of singing
but the rest of the time we enjoyed her.

I have antibiotics for the rest of the week.
Then I have an appointment with the
consultant in about 3 weeks time.
Then the op should be in about 8 weeks
time to remove it.

I haven't made much this week.
I am on lots of pain meds so am struggling.
A lot of frogging has been involved.
However I decided to use this opportunity
to work on some of the Craftsy courses
I have signed up to.
I started with Aran Crochet.
You learn different ways of using post stitches
and other stitches to create fantastic looks.

This is me learning the bobble stitch.
I love Craftsy as it's so easy to follow.
The other fantastic thing about this course
is it's taught me to read a chart.
I never have before and it's not too bad.

Now it's your turn to share what you are doing.
It doesn't have to be crochet, anything you are making
is perfect.
Please add the pin to your post & check out a couple
of other people that are sharing their work

  1. I'm glad you were able to enjoy your mother's day at least! I hope with treatment you'll be more comfortable until they're able to get it out. Lovely work with the Aran!
