There is nothing more special than being

able to make something for a child.

A child gives you so much more when you make

them something with love.

Anna & Heidi are from Norway and have

their own yarn shop with their own

brand of yarn "Pickles".

They have taken their expansive skills

and created a book full of fun and interesting

patterns that are good to make

and good for children to wear.

Some of the designs are just for babies

but others are for a wide age range of children.

I think that's what makes this book even more invaluable.

You aren't just getting patterns for babies or toddlers

you are getting patterns that can be used

through the ages.

The patterns are ones that can be worn time and

again and won't look dated.

They are practical as well as functional.

The projects are fun and I love the fact that

some of them have more than one use;

The Magic Poncho

is a prime example of this.

It can be worn as a poncho as well as a skirt.

It even comes with a matching hat.

The projects vary in skill level so everything

from an easy pattern upwards is covered.

I love the fact that they don't try and push

a specific yarn to use.

Some will just say it needs 100% cotton DK

and colours light blue & grey.

Each of the patterns are in written format and

really easy to follow.

They are broken down into their different elements

which makes it easier to follow the pattern.

Their are patterns for both girls and boys

and a number of them are suitable for both.

An example of the age ranges of one of

the patterns are;

1 yr, 2-3, 4-5, 6, 8, 10,12

With so many ages covered you are sure

to use the patterns time and again.

I can honestly say there isn't a single project

within this book that I wouldn't make!
