This book is full of 24 stylish designs
that include boleros, capes, shrugs & crop tops.
Annie has created this book so that
you can create moderate to small projects
that you will be able to use and look good in.
They are designed to be a quicker knit
than saying knitted a sweater but
more substantial than just making a hat.
There are however some patterns that include
matching accessories such as a hat or gauntlets.
The main patterns are in written format but
charts are also supplied for repeating patterns.
There are also size guides to help you make
a correct fitting garment.
Where Annie has used a different technique
such as triple twist drop stitch,
she provides you with instructions and clear
pictures to help you complete the stitch.
Each of the designs are in multiple sizes
and they are also designed so they are
easier to re-size to what you require.
The patterns are varied and are for different levels
of knitter.
There are patterns such as the basketweave bolero
that are at an easy level and use basic
stitches to create the unique look.
Different techniques are used in the book
to create the designs, such as entrelac.
Annie uses different yarns to create different
looks to each of the garments as well as the
changes in stitches and shapes.
There are the most amazing designs that
have a real Downton Abbey look like the
The Lace Cuff Shrug.
Annie's use of colours is fantastic.
Her stained glass circular jacket
is spectacular
and her Strasbourg Cape is beautiful.
As a beginner knitter I'm going to stick
to the easy patterns but once my confidence
is better I am going to work my way through the book.
A special book with the most gorgeous patterns!
