What You Doing Wednesday Week 162

Good Morning Everyone!
I hope your week is going well!

I can't believe it's August already!
Wow time is going by so fast.
Red Monster is loving the summer holidays.

We've been quite busy as a friend of hubby
and his family came over for a bbq.
It was a super late night for Red Monster,
he went to bed at 10pm and normally it's 8pm.

We had a lovely time and am really enjoying the house.

I am hoping to get a little time to myself over
the next week.

I've done a bit of making this week.

I have been trying to learn to knit socks
but am struggling to even start.
It seems so complicated.
I know it will be easier if it was quiet
but I'll have to wait till September for that.
I might just give up and crochet them for now.

I am designing a washcloth
for Red monster.

This is my 2nd attempt.
The 1st set of letter were only one stitch thick
but it wasn't enough.
I am now trying with letters 3 stitches thick.
Hopefully it will work and I'll have a pattern for you soon.
It's a beatiful soft yarn made with a mix of acrylic and wool.
The acrylic gives it the softness and ability to be machine washed.
The wool gives it that extra stiffness that means it's easier to keep shape.

My Deramores CAL blanket (afghan)
is coming along nicely.
I really need to spend more time on it.

Now it's your turn to share what you are doing.
It doesn't have to be crochet, anything you are making
is perfect.
Please add the pin to your post & check out a couple
of other people that are sharing their work
