I've Made Friday Week 162

Good Morning everyone!
I hope your week is going well.
I hope you are looking forward to the weekend.

So sorry I've been missing in action.
We've had a super busy time and I am having
to rest to recover.

Red Monster had a birthday and 2 birthday parties.
He had one with all his friends and one with my family.
We had a brilliant time and Red Monster loved
all of his presents.

My parents also treated us to a visit to Chester Zoo.
My dad picked us up and then all four
of us went and stayed at a hotel, had a
brilliant meal out and then Chester Zoo the next day.

The weather was awful!
It was cold and wet.
I was super sensible and arranged to have a shop mobility scooter.
It was great fun but the cold weather took it's toll.
We had such a fantastic time!

Now this was going to be a rabbit but I just couldn't get it to look right.
When I had finished it I decided that it looks more like a dog.
I don't mind.
It's made out of Manos Del Uruguay Handpainted yarn
available from Xena Knits

Now it's time for linky love.
Please feel free to share anything you've made.

till I've got more time.
I love how it turned out :-)

What You Doing Wednesday Week 161

Good Morning Everyone!
I hope your week is going well!

I have an exciting finish for you
this Friday....
I finished my blanket (afghan)
I might add another round or two
around the edge
but I am going to wait till
it's been used for a week or two
& then decide.

I haven't worked much
on Crochet projects this week.
I am working on my rabbit

Red Monster had his sports day
this last week.
It was quite cool and went on for over 2 hrs
I've been trying to recover ever since.
He had fun which is the main thing.
His teacher is a triathlete
and wanted the teachers to have a race.
As she is super fit and some of the other
teachers aren't they decided to
have a 3 legged race.
The funny thing is his teacher didn't win.

A group of us mums sat at the finish line,
we cheered every child we knew who's parents
weren't there and everyone is came last.

Red Monster isn't good at sports but
he always finishes even if it's last.
Quite a few of the other kids give up
as soon as they realise that they haven't won
and a few have commented how they
think it's fantastic Red Monster finishes with a smile.

He finishes school on Friday
which he super excited about!
He is really tired and ready for finishing.

Now it's your turn to share what you are doing.
It doesn't have to be crochet, anything you are making
is perfect.
Please add the pin to your post & check out a couple
of other people that are sharing their work

Squeeee!
That's my first impression of this book!
Don't you just love the Little Victory mitts
on the front cover?

The brilliant thing about this book

but are wonderful to dress up an
outfit in the summer.

There are patterns for men as well!
I love the "do the robot" mitts .

The patterns are in written format but charts
are also provided for repeating patterns.

There are 35 designs to choose from

There are fun and flamboyant patterns
as well as basic mitten designs.
