I've Made Friday Week 157

Good Morning everyone!
I hope your week is going well.
I hope you are looking forward to the weekend.

Life is a bit weird at the moment.
It seems to be lots of peaks and troughs
and I really don't know where it's going.
It's quite exciting!
I'm trying to be calm and patient
but if you knew me you would know
that isn't really me.
I like to plan, to know what is going on
and to know what life is going to hold.

Hubby hasn't been able to do much more in the garden
as he has been working a lot.
He is hoping to get a little more done on Saturday.
It's meant to be sunny which will be a bonus.
It's raining on Sunday and he has to work anyway.

Red Monster is growing up so fast everyday.
It's amazing how much he has changed in the last month.
He is so much more independent and if it isn't
raining then he is out in the garden
and we only see him at tea time and bedtime.

As I've had to rest this week
I have been able to get a few things finished.

I've finished 2 baskets now.

I finished designing the owl.
from Xena knits to make him.
It's a handpainted yarn.

I also designed and made myself a bracelet cuff.
I was just in the mood to make something for me.
I love how it turned out and the front edge looks really
good coming out from under a jacket.
I haven't stopped wearing it since I made it :-).

I promised you a review of the next
in the series of the Crochet Murder's.

Dead Men Don't Crochet
by Betty Hetchman

Molly Pink the main character is now becoming
known for her amateur sleuthing.
When yet again she is caught up in another murder
she can't help but get involved.
Her friend is under the spotlight as the possible
murderer and he favorite detective is in charge
of this case, yet again.
She can't stand by and watch an innocent person
be accused.
She has to step in and do her own detective work
to see if she can solve the case.
The story is centered around the crochet group
and the different characters that each play
their part.
I love the fact that crochet plays such a role
in the story but it's still a good murder mystery as well.
I'm really enjoying the series and have already
ordered the next in the series.
I'd give it a 4 out of 5.
It would be a 5 out of 5 but I prefer the descriptions
of the yarn etc. in the Knitting murder series.

Now it's time for linky love.
