Ocean Waves Summer Knitted Bag

3mm Knitting Needles

Guidelines
K – Knit
P – Purl
Cast On – I use the long tail cast on method
Cast Off – I used a knit cast off.

Gauge
2” = 12 st x 20 rows

Approximate Yardage
207 yards

Size
21 cm height x 20.5 cm width 109 cm strap length

Front & Back of Bag
Cast on 50 stitches
Row 1) *2 k, 2 p* across (50)
Row 2) *2 p, 2 k* across (50)
Row 3) *2 p, 2 k* across (50)
Row 4) *2 k, 2 p* across (50)
Row’s 5-88) Repeat rows 1-4

Row 89) Cast Off


Make 2 to make the front and back. Leave a long tail so you can sew them together.

But the fronts together and sew them together.  Turn them inside out so the fronts are showing.

Strap
Cast on 8 Stitches leaving a long tail to sew onto the bag.

Row 1) *2 k, 2 p* repeat across (8)

Row 2) *2 k, 2 p* repeat across (8)

Row 3) *2 p, 2 k* repeat across (8)

Row 4) *2 p, 2 k* repeat across (8)

Row 5 – 300) Repeat rows 1 -4 (8)

  Sew the handle to the side of the bag
