What You Doing Wednesday Week 143

Good Morning Everyone!

I hope your week is going well!

It was mother's day this last Sunday.

I had a brilliant day.

I got a fantastic and beautiful present off Little Red.

I was so excited when I opened it.

It was a wooden Pen & Pencil set

We went to a local Tudor house

so that Little Red could see it as he is learning

about the Tudor's at school.

It was such fun and Little Red was very excited

about the fact that they have a resident ghost.
I was slightly disappointed.
When we went previously (when I was young)
you were taken round by a guide and you were allowed to go into the rooms.
This meant you were able to go to the bedroom where the ghost has been seen.
It felt very cold when you went across.
This time you walked around yourself and everything was cordoned off.
You could only take a peek from the door into the bedroom :-(.
I must admit I was disappointed with the price.
We paid £26.50 for 3 adults and 1 child.
There were 4 rooms downstairs (including the great hall)
and 4 rooms upstairs.
We still had fun and it was really nice to have a morning out.

 

We then came home and had dinner before my mum and dad

arrived for tea.

My mum had come with us to the house as my

dad was at church.

He is a reader and they don't have a vicar at the moment

so he is doing the services.

We then had a fantastic evening.

Now onto what I'm making this week:

My shawl is coming along nicely.

It's made with #Adriafil #Vegalux yarn.

I'm making a cover for my hubby.

He has a bedside clock with an alarm.

The light bothers him at night so I'm making him a cover.

It's only a basic sc cover but hopefully it will work.

I'm also make a Tatted Teddy & Pink Rabbit

Cross-Stitch Kit.

It's coming along nicely :-).

I'm really enjoying cross stitching :-)
