What You Doing Wednesday Week 141

Good Morning Everyone!
I hope your week is going well!

The weather is all over the place in the UK.
We've had snow, hail, rain and lots of wind.
At the moment it's sunny but very very windy.
Apparently spring is meant to be arriving for the weekend.
I am really looking forward to it.

I've been busy starting things this week.
Now I just need to get round to finishing some.
It's my own fault in a way.
I hurt my foot :-(.
Not only that but whilst I was trying to air it
and get it to heal the dog thought it would be
a good idea to jump off my foot with
his claw in my wound.
I screamed so the dog jumped round and put his
front claw through it as well.
I am now having to completely rest it to see
if it will heal.
It's only a small wound but it's quite deep.
Oh well more time to make :-).

I have one make I haven't got any pictures for.
I wanted to make a bookmark for my auntie
as a get well present.
I made an owl bookmark with cross-stitch,
yes you guessed it I forgot to take pictures.

One make I have finished and will be showing you
on Friday.
It's another Storybook Felts bookmark.
It's the cutest mouse you have ever seen.
If you are looking for some quick presents
to make up for Easter for family or friends
Mel's bookmarks are ideal.

Here is what I'm making this week;

I'm designing a shawl with Vegalux yarn from Adriafil

I'm designing a cowl and bracelet with Bernat Mega Bulky
It's a fantastic gold colour.
It's also super quick to make up as the yarn is so chunky.

I'm making a headband from the 20 to make - Knitted Headbands.

I'm also making another cross-stitch picture
but I forgot to take a picture of it.

I haven't done anymore work on my bag.
I think I'm going to keep that one for weekends.
It's ideal for taking when I go to watch Little Red
at swimming.

Little Red has had a fantastic week!
He got a star award at school for his x's tables.
This is a huge one for him.
We've been working on them none stop since
last September.
He has worked so hard and we are so proud of him.
He also went to his swimming lesson for the
first time in 3 weeks (due to his chest infection)
and managed to pass his level 4.
Daddy took him to the shop for a treat
and he came home with the lego minecraft set.

I've just finished a book so I'll tell you about
that on Friday.

I really hope you are all having a good week!

Now it's your turn to share what you are doing.
It doesn't have to be crochet, anything you are making
is perfect.
Please add the pin to your post & check out a couple
of other people that are sharing their work

  1. Thank you for hosting! I hope your wound heals quickly. I love the blue shawl you're designing, looks like a very pretty stitch/yarn combination.

  2. You are more than welcome! Thanks for joining in. My foot is already 1000% better today. I've been able to go without a dressing so am really pleased. Thanks. I'll hopefully have the design finished in the next couple of weeks and then I'll be able to release the free pattern for everyone.
