I've Made Friday Week 123

Good Morning everyone!

Happy Halloween!
I hope you have a fun and safe day!

I'm actually writing this post in advance.
With Little Red away I'm hopefully get quite a few things made.
He is going to Granny and Grandads on Thursday and not
coming back till Saturday.
Well that is the plan, Little Red is known to change his mind.

Mr D was away Thursday :-(.
He had to set off at 6am to catch his train and isn't expected back till 11pm.
It's going to be a really long day for him.
Companies used to let you stay over when you had a long journey but
since the recession they have cut back.
He has a 4 hr journey each way and a meeting to have before coming back again.

I've only got one make for you this week:

As you can see Little Red loves his balaclava.
I made it using the hat design in Crochet Boutique Hats.
I just carried it on and then chained when it came to the eyes.
I reduced slightly when I got to the neck end.
It is a fantastic pattern and really easy to follow.
I hope you like it.

Now it's time for linky love.

Lapland Mailroom ~ Santa Letter ~ Product Review

Christmas is fast approaching!
Little Red still belives in Santa and what better way
to keep up the magic than a letter from Santa.

The letter comes addressed directly to them and with the Red
postmark saying it's come from Santa the excitement begins immediately.

I took Little Red's to school for him to open.
He was soo excited when he saw who it was from.

The letter comes with a picture of Santa and has little small
details that you can add to make the letter personal to your child.
There are four different letters to choose from, including one
for baby's first Christmas.

There are multiple things you can also receive with your letter.
I love the nice child list certificate.
Little Red has been warned that he has to behave and stay
on the nice child list.

You can also choose for the child to receive the activity pack.
It really is a full pack.
There is so much for them to make and do in the run up to Christmas.

With everything from a Santa stop here sign, a Christmas card to colour,
door hangers, decorations & puzzles to work on it will
keep them busy and having fun.
I haven't even shown you everything that you receive in the pack.
Little Red has already started working on his things for Christmas.

All of the items are really good quality
and Little Red completely believed they were from Santa.
To see his face light up was so magical!
We are going to have such good fun with everything.
Little Red is also taking his letter to all of his relatives to
show off the fact that Santa sent him a letter.

The letters are easy to complete and the instructions on the site are easy to follow.
You quickly get your beautiful letter and everything inside.
I think they are really good value as they are made to such
a high standard.
I wouldn't have any problems recommending their services.

It's well worth making a child's Christmas special.

What You Doing Wednesday Week 123

Good Morning Everyone!

Well October has run away and we are fast approaching November.
I can't believe how fast time is going.

Little Red is off school this week for half term.
We are having some fun and doing some homework.
It's actually been really relaxing.
However Halloween plans have changed.
Little Red has decided he is going to his Granny and Grandads for Halloween.
They live on a really nice estate with loads of children
so he is going trick and treating with Grandad.

So we have decided to stop making any more decorations.
I do however want to show you what we've done already.

We have everything from a cauldron, marauders map, spiders and wand certificates.

We have the flying keys to the letters sent to Harry Potter

Doby the elf, wands, crystals, hedwig, snithc & tickets for the train and night bus
Our broom and scarf
The message saying the Chamber of secrets are open
Little Red bent one of the wings from the keys as it is in the film.
Bottles of potions, scorpions, eyeballs, snakes and a Mandrake.

We have a skull, aged paper and a feather pen. A crystal ball and tea cup for reading tea leaves.
As you can see the lights from Blaze On look fantastic.
We also have some candle flickering tea-lights.

I hope you like our decorations.
We had loads of fun making them and putting them up :-)

Now onto what I'm making this week:
I'm making a balaclava for Little Red.
He loved his hat so much he wants me to make him
a matching balaclava.
This is actually the inside so you'll have to see what it really looks like on Friday :-).

Now it's your turn to share what you are doing.
It doesn't have to be crochet, anything you are making
is perfect.
Please add the pin to your post & check out a couple
of other people that are sharing their work

I love the different types of yarns to create scarves
for different seasons and to make some
for men and women.

Each of the scarves is created using the ocean as inspiration.
The amazing things is that although the use the same inspiration
they are all different.

This book has inspired me to learn to knit cables.
I love the celtic scarf.
I think it would make a brilliant design to make into an afghan.

The goldfish tails is just so bright and beautiful.
The repeating pattern gives a sophisticated look.
This would look perfect in both the day and night.
