Sew Decorative talks you through making
beautiful items to decorate your house.
Make your look personal and match your style.
The book gives you step by step instructions and includes details
to finish that project to a high standard.
Techniques include pleating, gathering, boxing corners, adding trims,
using decorative built-in machine stitches, and embroidery by machine
are all covered within the book.
"Home-Sewing Specifications" section provides a sewing glossary
plus basic info about French seams, embroidery stitches, and more.
Skill levels range from beginner to advanced, providing something for everyone
The book is split into 3 chapters:
Dining, Bed and Bath and Pillows.
Within each one is projects perfect for each settings.
I'm also sure you'll find some of the projects can be used elsewhere.
The pictures and instructions are clear and easy to understand.
Each project talks you through what you need and how you use it.
Techniques such as embroidery, sewing etc. are explained.
The projects are easy to complete but give you a personalised look.
Some of the patterns need to be copied and enlarged but this isn't the case for all the projects.
I think there is a good array of projects to add beautiful items to your house.
Quite a few of the projects will be good for using up scrap pieces of fabric.
Where as others will need the fabric for that specific fabric.
Everything you need for each project is detailed so you can
get everything ready before you start.
As a beginner sewer I found the instructions clear and easy to understand.
You can work your way through the book or you can just pick a specific project.
If you want to personalise you space or make presents for family
and friends then you'll find lots to keep you busy.
There is a good mix of projects and I love how you can personalise them to your own style.
I received a copy of the eBook to review.
However all opinions expressed are my own.
