The Knook - Beginner Set for Kids ~ Product Review

Knook Kit for Kids

I think this a fantastic idea!
My niece has struggled to learn to knit for years.
Just like me she struggles with dropping or increasing stitches where
they shouldn't be.
I have always loved crocheting as it's so easy to rectify a mistake
where as knitting I find very unforgiving.

With Knooking this isn't an issue as the stitches stay on the string whilst
you are knooking them, this means you can easily see the stitches
and you can't drop them as they are held there till you remove the cord.

With the set you get everything you need to get started!
The Beginner Set for Kids comes with 2 sizes of Knooks,
2 cords, a clip, 2 yarn needles, and a pocket-size instruction book.
Knook sizes included are L-8 mm in pink and M-9 mm in purple, for using bulky and super bulky yarns. Cords are each 42" long (106.5 cm).
How-to book is 5"w x 6"h, 32 pages, with step-by-step beginner instructions
featuring photos for right-handed and left-handed stitchers.

As you can see the pictures are clear and easy to understand.
If you are struggling at all Leisure Arts also have instructional videos
for you to watch to help you along.

Knook hat made with the Knook kit for kids. Pink hat.

Included in the booklet are 3 beginner patterns to get you started.
They are super patterns that would be perfect for all ages
and both sexes.

Kids scarf made with the knook for kids.

Using bulky yarns and larger knooks means that it is easier
to see the dynamics of the stitch and makes it easy
to knook the stitches.

With the set including all the items you need
anyone can get started on the projects as soon as you've chosen the yarn.

I found the instructions clear and easy to understand.
The projects easy enough so most children will be able to get started straight away.
I think knooking is a lot easier for children to learn than knitting
and they will feel so much achievement once they get started.
