"Zakka - The word Zakka originates from a Japanese word
which originally meant 'household items'.
However in recent years it has increasingly been used to
mean homemade everyday items."

Cecilia uses patchwork & quilt-as-you-go techniques
To create a beautiful mix of accessories for your daily life.

At the start of the book she details the sewing basics including
tools and materials and then sew techniques that are used in the book.
Although these are supplied I think the book is better for someone
who has sewn before.

Each pattern contains a list of the materials you will use,
what preparation you will need to do and the cutting out.
You also get an explanation of the sewing & the finishing off.
I was disappointed there are only pictures of the finished items
rather than any showing you how to put the projects together.

There are a goof mix of patterns each having it's own unique look.
The paper feel of the pages matches the look of the projects
and gives it that feeling of home.

Tips are included where you need them to give the project a good look.
I also love the fact that some of the pieces are small so you can
use your scraps to give it a unique style.

There are some really cute ideas and they are ideas
that can be used for all the family.
They would also make fantastic gifts.

With 22 projects there is a really good mix and variety of projects.

If you like the quilt and patchwork look then you will
really love the designs in this book.
The designs also give you the opportunity to make them
your own as your choice of fabrics
will make a huge difference to each design.

I don't think my skills are quite up to this book yet
but there are quite a few projects I want to make
when they are.

I received a copy of the book for free to review.
However all opinions expressed are my own.
