#Learn to #Crochet #Socks for the #Family ~ #Book #Review
Available in eBook & Book format from LeisureArts.com
Hand-crocheted socks are one of life’s ultimate luxuries.
Crochet expert Darla Sims presents these 15 cozy toe-warmers for the family
there are socks and slipper socks for children, women, and men.
From anklets to add-on ribbing socks, top-down socks to sports socks,
the varying styles offer something to please everyone.
The stitch patterns are fun, too, and include shells, lace designs, and faux V-Stitch.
With the information provided you can create original designs
just by changing the yarn, style, and size.
Treat a loved one with their own crocheted socks–there’s simply no better way to pamper their feet!
The book offers all the information you'll need to make socks
in different sizes.
I have a few books to teach you to learn sock but this one
has offered more information about sizing than I have
seen in the others.
Darla gives you so many variations and details of how to start making
them and teaches you the skills to design your own.
Darla shares her amazing knowledge to explain all the different parts of the sock.
How you can work them and how to size them.
She gives you all the information you could possibly aid you in designing
your own socks.
She explains all the different methods in an easy to understand manner.
Once you have learnt all the methods you then get 15 intermediate level patterns.
As you can see there are clear pictures given for each design.
I would recommend this book to crocheters who are wanting to design
their own socks and are looking for the techniques to help you.
The patterns are in US written terms and there are guidelines
for how to complete the different parts of the socks.
The thing I like about the designs are the fact they aren't
something you can just go out and buy.
If you make them for family and friends they are sure
to know the luxurious socks are handmade.
