I've Made Friday Week 95

I hope you've all had a good week & are looking forward to the weekend!

This week has been a bit strange.
Everything I try and get sorted just seems not to pan out.
I'm not worried I am sure if I try again next week it will get sorted.

Little Red is doing super well at his swimming lessons.
His has passed his level 1 swimming
as well as his 5 meters.
I am super proud of him.

You might be able to help me.
He is getting lots of badges from his swimming
and other things.
I don't want to put them on his clothes as he will soon
be in the next size.
What would you sew his badges onto?

This is what the pattern should look like:

And this is what mine turned out like:

Doesn't it look fantastic!  I can't wait for the weather to warm up slightly.
I made it using 4ply yarn and I love it!

I also made:

My cowl is slightly different as I used super chunky yarn
and I didn't have as much as needed so I just made mine slightly shorter.
This is what it should look like if you follow the pattern:
Red_hooded_cowl_small2

As mine is slightly thicker is stays closer to your head so keeps you very toasty and warm.
The rain and wind has been awful this week so I have worn it everyday.

I also made one for Little Red
as he wanted to keep warm as well.
The only problem is I forgot to take pictures when I finished it and he is now wearing to school.
I'll try and get some for next week.

Still no book to review this week.
I'll hopefully have one finished for you next week.

  3. Congratulations to little Red! I'd make a banner to hang in his room and sew the badges on to it. I wouldn't sew them too tightly so they can be removed when he is older and put into a scrapbook.

  4. I sewed my son's swimming badges onto his PE bag, which probably sounds a bit odd, but it meant he saw them, and made his bag distinctive. I guess if he has a swimming kit bag that would be even better.
