I hope you had a fantastic Halloween.
This was typed on Wednesday as I'm having to rest and cope
with a sick hubby.
I'm sorry if you've made comments and not replied to them yet.
The last couple of weeks have been a bit manic.
I have them all in the folder so I will be replying to them.
I wanted to make sure I posted so that you could link up.
I finally got the ribbon to finish off my blanket.
Luckily it came in time for the baby shower.
It from the free crochet pattern Tiramisu Crochet Blanket.
I made mine longer than the pattern calls for.
I finished my hat & decided to make a number of different button flowers.
I've decided that I am going to put one flower button with the pattern
and the rest in a downloadable pack.
I've made it so each of the flowers can be added or removed by the use of a button on the hat.
I haven't managed to finish the other items yet so you'll have to wait till next week :-)
My yarn bowl arrived!
Isn't it beautiful!!! It's deep enough to keep the yarn in nice and safe and for it to move comfortably
without having to worry.
My only :-( is I've got to put it away for Christmas
You can find more of these beautiful yarn bowls and other wooden bowls
at Adorewoods
The bowl even comes with wax and care instructions so it will always stay beautiful.
Every bowl is unique as Norman handcrafts them to the wood itself.
The place where the yarn comes out is the heart of the wood.
Have you heard of this project.

Oh my gosh! I didn't realize how talented you were!!! I love your work- I am so inept with anything crafty I have to rely on etsy :) Beautiful. And that hat is so clever.
ReplyDeletePs- this is Farrah :)
DeleteFarrah,
DeleteThank you ever so much! You are too kind. I am lucky enough to have found my thing :-). It took a lot of time and trying a lot of different things before I found it.
So glad you like the hat.
Sue
The hat is fabulous!:) and I like the yarn bowl.
ReplyDeleteThank you ever so much! I am so excited about getting it at Christmas. I have promised not to use it till then.
Deletegreat yarn bowl, great idea to ring the changes on the hat
ReplyDeleteThanks!!!!
DeleteLove the idea of the changeable decorations on the hat.
ReplyDeleteSo glad you like it!
DeleteThat bowl is gorgeous! I love the hat too. Looks like a very good choice for a chemo cap too, as it's close-fitting and very stylish :)
ReplyDeleteThe drape of the yarn worked better with a closer fitting hat. It would be really good as there is 10% merino in it so it's super soft. Thank you ever so much! Norman's bowls are beautiful. I love the way each one has it's own personality and different colour.
