Free Pattern - Battersea Crochet Mouse Pattern US Terms


Battersea Crochet Mouse Pattern

This pattern has been designed for Battersea Cats & Dogs Home
if you would be kind enough to make another one
you can send it to their appeal.


The pattern is in US terms
Items required
4mm (6) hook. If you don’t have a 4mm hook use a 4.25mm (G) hook instead.
Beige , a small amount of black & colour for eyes. Double knit (8 ply)
Stitch marker Wool needle Stuffing

Guidelines
At the end of each round just carry on, do not join with a slip stitch.
Mark the start of each round and then move marker as a round is completed.
HK – hook CH – chain SS – Slip Stitch
SC – Single crochet
SC Inc - Single  crochet Increase. Increase by placing 2 sc in 1 stitch
SC Dec – Single crochet decrease. Through 1st stitch, yarn over hook through, yarn over hook throug, hook through next stitch, yarn over hook pull through.  Yarn over hook and pull through all loops.
Guage : 11 sts & 9 rows = 2”
Size: length approx.: 4 ½” (11.5cm)  width approx: 2 ½” (6.5cm)

Mouse Body
Beige Double Knit yarn (or colour of choice) & 4mm (6) hook
Ch 2
Round 1) 8 sc in 2nd ch from hook (or in a magic circle) (8)
Round 2) 8 sc inc (16)
Round 3) *1 sc, 1 sc inc* x 8 (24)
Round 4) *2 sc, 1 sc inc* x 8 (32)
Round 5) *3 sc, 1 sc inc* x 8 (40)
Round 6 – 8)     40 sc around (40)
Round 9) *8 sc, 1 sc dec* x 4 (36)
Round 10) *7 sc, 1 sc dec* x 4 (32)
Round 11) 32 sc (32)
Round 12) *6 sc, 1 sc dec* x 4 (28)
Round 13) 28 sc (28)
Round 14) *5 sc, 1 sc dec* x 4 (24)
Round 15) 24 sc (24)
Round 16) *4 sc, 1 sc dec* x 4 (20)
Round 17) 20 sc
Round 18) *3 sc, 1 sc dec* x 4 (16)
Round 19) 16 sc (16)
Round 20) *2 sc, 1 sc dec* x 4 (12)
Round 21) 12 sc (12)
Stuff and carry on stuffing after each round
Round 22) *4 sc, 1 sc dec* x 2 (10)
Round 23) 10 sc (10)
Round 24) *3 sc, 1 sc dec* x 2 (8)
Round 25) 8 sc (8)
Round 26) 4 sc dec, ss to finish and close hole.


Tail
Beige double knit yarn (or colour of choice) & 4 mm (6) hook
Ss in one of the stitches on the backside of the body, Ch 12
Row 1) 1 sc in 2nd ch from hk, 10 sc inc, ss to the same stitch as you joined the yarn, finish (11)


Ears x 2
Beige double knit yarn (or colour of choice) & 4 mm (6) hook
Ch 2
Row 1) 6 sc in 2nd ch from hk, ch 1, turn (6)
Row 2) 6 sc inc, finish (leave enough yarn to attach to the mouse body) (12)
   






Attach the ears to the body

Nose & Eyes (2)
Embroider the nose using black yarn











  Embroider the eyes using the colour of your choice

  1. As a rule of thumb, you should endeavor to avoid taking irrelevant or trite pictures, which are commonly seen by people every day. In the word of Nick Bilton who works for the New York Times, (his Instagram account has more than fifty thousand followers) "people are more likely to admire you for quality over quantity - yes you may well take a fancy picture of your Starbucks cup but if I don't know who you are and your photo is generic, I won't be monitoring you.   2. I am going to try and make this for my kitten he had one but has hidden it and i can't find It is all most time for Spring cleaning so i will find it then Thank You for the pattern God Bless and keep u the beautiful work
