Jester Scarflette\Scarf Free Crochet Pattern


Jester Scarflette/Scarf

The pattern is in US terms
Items required 
5mm (H) hook
Double knit (8 ply) Jester yarn available from Designer Yarns – 1 skein used for scarflette or 2 for scarf 
Stitch marker
Wool needle

Guidelines
At the end of each round just carry on, do not join with a slip stitch.  
Mark the start of each round and then move marker as a round is completed.
HK – hook CH – chain SS – Slip Stitch
HDC – half double crochet
HDC Inc – Half double crochet Increase.  Increase by placing 2 hdc in 1 stitch.
Gauge
8 sts & 6 rows = 2”
Approximate Size
Scarflette Length: 34” (86.3cm) Width: 5 1/2” (14cm)
Scarf Length: 68” (172.6cm) Width: 5 ½” (14cm) 
Scarflette
Using 5mm (H) hook and  yarn. 
Ch 20 
Row 1) 1 hdc inc in 2nd ch from hk, *miss ch, 1 hdc inc* across, ch2, turn (20)
Row 2-70) Miss 1st stitch, *1 hdc inc, miss st* across, 2 hdc in last st, ch 2, turn (20)

Row 71)  Miss 1st stitch, *1 hdc inc, miss st* across, 2 hdc in last st, finish (20)

If you want to make the scarf join the next skein and carry on with the pattern for another 71 rows.
