I've Made Friday Week 63

Good Morning Everyone.
I hope you are all having a good week
and are looking forward to the weekend.

The weather is back to normal it's windy and raining.
I don't mind so much but I just hope it's nice for the kids
over the summer holidays.

I've got a fantastic offer for everyone who follows this blog

Claire has been kind enough to give us
20% off coupon off this blanket in her store to the end of July
Coupon: Addict20

We've been buying a few cheap plants.
They are plugs that look like they should
of been sold a while ago as the roots are full
but I've put them in bigger pots and then
once they are big enough I'll plant them out.
I bought a mixed selection of perennials
& winter hardy fuchsias

I have also bought a few spider plants.
I want the house to be a bit healthier
so I thought plants good for the air would help.

Little Red has a finish for this week:
A really good friend sent it to him as a gift.
The picture is all printed but then they
add the sticky squares to make the picture look the way it does.
It was really good for Little Red for his dexterity.
Each day he choose one colour to add so it was fun to do each day.
He really enjoyed making this and if I see anymore I think I'll get one.

We've also been having fun with Little Red's
Marbultopia Marble Run

It's such good fun!
Little Red loves the fact that we make loads of different designs.
It's easy enough for him to make runs and figure out how to make them work.

They are really good for a multitude of ages and the fact they pack away
in a box is always good.
It's something I can help and play with him
and it's something he can do by himself as well.
We've bought a couple of packs and hope to buy more in the future.
I would really recommend this as a toy that teaches children things
whilst they are having fun.

My FO's are a bit of a cheat.
I don't really have any full finishes
but I wanted to show you each of the squares I have
finished in the sampler afghan.
I haven't blocked them yet but I've edged them.

"Moss" Stitch
Double Crochet
Half Double Crochet Ridges
Five-Double Crochet Shells

There are 16 squares in the book and different blankets to make up.
It teaches everything from the basics upwards.
There are brilliant pictures though-out so would be perfect for
beginners up.

This week I read:
Blue Violet (Book 1 of the Svantra Series)
by Abaigail Owen
This is a fantastic free Kindle book.
The story is based around a twin brother & sister,
Ellie & Griffin.
Ellie moves across country to follow a possibility.
It risks her life but she just has this gut feeling that she has to do this.
Her brother Griffin is unsure and only comes after a while
as he wants to keep safe.
Ellie's worst nightmares come true but can they work to overcome it and plan out a future.
I would give this book 4 out of 5.
