I would like to say a huge welcome

from Glorious Crochet
• Tell us a bit about you:
I'm a medical transcriptionist who works at home and live in the Southeast United States. I've been crocheting for over 40 years and my favorite medium to use is #10 crochet thread.
• How did you decide on the name for your blog\shop?
My blog is called the Crochet Apostle and that's because I feel that I am on a mission to open up the world of crochet in a modern way. My store is called Glorious Crochet because I consider my crocheting art a glorious gift from God .
• How long have you been blogging and how long has your shop been open? Why did you start?
I opened my shop and began blogging in 2009. I started because I wanted to share my craft with others.
• What is your favourite item at the moment?
Right now, my favourite item would be the lace tutu dress I just designed using #10 crochet thread (though the picture could have been better, sigh).
• What made you start crocheting?
I began crocheting when my aunt taught me how when I was 5.
• Where do you get your inspiration from?
I get my inspiration from the world around me--colors of nature, fashion magazines, even just conversations with people.
• What other things do you like to do in your spare time?
I love to read and garden.
• A of picture of your favourite item?
The above afghan is done with a method called Tunisian crochet which I plan to teach a class in the fall!
• What would be the one piece of advice would you give to a new blogger or a person setting up their own shop?
Research your costs, charge what you're worth, know who your customer/audience is and invest in a REALLY GREAT CAMERA!!!
