I hope everyone's week is going well!
Number One son and Hubby are back at school & work.
Hip hip horay!
I miss them when they aren't here
but my fatigue is so much worse with all the noise in the house.
It's bliss just to sit in a silent room.
Last weekend Little Red had to go shopping
for a new football kit (soccer).
He had to go straight to the park and try out
his new football boots and football.
He has never had football boots with studs on before so he is very excited.
I just hope he has a space at football club now!
This week I've got a couple of things I'm making.
First I am part way through making the Ninky Nonk.
This is part of the train from in the Night Garden.
I am designing this one myself for a friends son.
and I am also in the middle of a robot blankie.
I bought the pattern from One & Two Company
As you can see the blankie and the main part of the head are complete.
This is what it should look like complete:
I actually bought a set of 5 patterns and hope to make all of them up soon.
(I have linked all the pictures to the relevant items)
I choose the Robot, Hippo, Dinosaur, Bear, Rabbit
It was really hard to choose and I still really want
the Lion, dog & owl but that will have to wait till
I can afford them.
There are quite a few to choose from:
You should check out One & Two Companies Shop
as they have many fantastic patterns
including some fantastic appliques.
Cushions:
My absolute favorite is the owl mobile:
These are just a few of the fantastic things that are in the shop so go take a look.
I am listening to:
I think everyone should read this book!!!!!
Henry Thoreau was ahead of his time.
There is so much of what he is saying that is just so true to today.
This book will get you thinking about so much in life.
It is a social critique that just has to be read.
There are times I have been laughing out load
because what he says is just so true.
I will give you more details once I have finished the book
but in the meantime it's free go and download the book
to read or listen to:
With Little Red this week we have just started the
Magic Tree Set of books.
His grandparents got him the Starter Set:
I couldn't recommend this set of books highly enough!
The stories are centred around a brother and sister
who find a tree house in the nearby woods
that has lots of books in it.
If you open a book and wish you were there the
tree house transports them to it.
The first book is about dinosaurs.
This got Little Red hooked!
We are already on the 2nd book and have ordered more
from the set from the library.
In the starter pack you get the
1st & 2nd book, a games and puzzles book & a dinosaur fact book.
I'm sure these books will keep any child entertained.
Little Red has shown all of his relatives his books and
even wants to read them when he gets up in the morning.
Don't forget to enter the giveaway:
Now it's your turn to share what you are doing.
It doesn't have to be crochet, anything you are making

DeleteHiya. Lovely those blankies. Yet another pattern to go on my 'to make' list. I think it's officially now longer than my Crochet Christmas List. lol
ReplyDeleteI will be checking out those appliques from One and Two, I find their patterns very clear and easy to use.
Thanks for sharing and giving us the opportunity to link up!
I think I've got a very similar list.
DeleteThe patterns are fantastic, I love that you have so many ways to follow the patterns.
You are more than welcome, thank you for joining in.
I love those blankies. I want to make an owl one. You are so busy with all your lovely projects.
ReplyDeleteBoth of my boys loved the magic tree house series. In fact it was my eldest sons first chapter book. He had me read it over and over again when he was just 3 years old. (I miss those days)
You should check out the site mthclassroomadventures.org/index.php?r=site/lessonplans which has all sorts of activities to do with each book.
The owl is very cute! It's also really good for a boy or a girl. Trying to keep my mind off other stuff and enjoy crocheting instead.
DeleteIt is a fantastic series for boys. It's difficult to find books that stimulate boys and these certainly meet that and more.
I'll take a look thanks!
