I've Made Friday Week 45

Wow Friday already

I've let the side down!
I'm still making Penguins!
I'm having to take more breaks as the same small movements
are making my fingers hurt.
They ache like arthritis and I'm struggling
with movement in them.
Saying that I have 23 bodies made
and all the other parts.
Just 12 bodies to go and putting them together.

Little Red has some finishes this week.
If you get the penguin (Otto) from
school you have to write in the diary.

He wrote 2 whole pages.
He even drew a picture of Otto and you could tell it was Otto.
Yes I'm a proud mum.

I would like to say it's changed the way school works
with the rewards but it hasn't.
Unfortunately Little Red has 2 teachers.
He has one for the first two days - more calm and caring and teaches with positiveness.
The 2nd teacher is there for 3 days and is very strict.
She has been known to shout at the children.
She comes across as a P.E. teacher
They have one teaching assistant who works mornings
and one afternoon a week whilst the other teacher
is doing P.E. with another class and they have their teaching planning time.
They also have a different teacher for music
and different people who do their reading with them.
As you can see it's a lot of swapping and changing for the children.

On a positive note he has been doing well at school this week.
He has been happy to go in everyday which is a big positive.

The other thing we finished this week is:
Little Reds first loom hat.
Ok I did most of the work but he did a few rows.
It was the first time I had loom knitted.
We just used a basic stitch but I think it didn't turn
out too bad.
I couldn't believe how easy it was.
I know we were only doing the basics but it was so quick
and it was a great project for a child.

Now I'm still in the middle of my books.
I've been enjoying listening to
Sherlock Holmes.
I've never really tried audio books before.
I tried a few on you tube but the voices weren't
distinctive enough and all the words seemed
to meld together.
Then a friend told me about a site called:
The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle
It's a fantastic site
& I love the way the book is being read.
I am reading my other book
before bed each evening so I'll hopefully have it finished soon.

Now  it's time to show off what you've been making
this week.

  3. Lovely to hear your sons had a great week. He looks very proud of his diary entry and Otto looks impressed too. Your reference to all the bodies made me smile, it made it sound like your living in a episode of CSI. Well done to little red the hat looks lovely. Have a great weekend.
