I've Made Friday Week 30

I hope you are all having a good week!

The weather has turned here and
it now feels a lot like autumn.
The temperature has dropped and the rain is still here.
We've had our wood burner on
a few times which makes it feel a lot nicer.
There is just something about a real fire!
Little Red has toasted his first marshmellows/

As you know earlier in the week I received my new dolls.
I wrote the post before I'd actually received them
and just added picture when I had.
So I'd like to just tell you how fantastic they are!
I also want to show off what I've been making this week :-)

First is Edward
Little Red wanted me to make him
a red outfit and has called him Edward.
Little Red loves him!
He is preemie size at 14"
the perfect size for any child.
I couldn't recommend him enough.
Little Red doesn't have any siblings
so has wanted to learn so many things about
how to look afer babies.
He has asked how to hold him
and how to seat him on the couch.
Everynight Edward has to get changed
for bed and in the morning before school
he wants him changed into his "day clothes"
Little Red doesn't want to be seen to take him to school,
so instead he has been taking them to meet his friends
and giving them to 2 girls who would
love an "Edward" as well.
They have been looking after him and then
I have to carry him home.
For his booties I used my favorite free roll top booties pattern
For the shorts I used Lobelia baby pants
and I made up the pattern for the top
starting off following Bella Bambina Knits pattern.
Edward is a berenguer newborn doll.

My 2nd doll has been named:
Lydia Jasmine
Lydia's new outfit isn't quite finished yet
so you'll have to wait till next week.

Oh well you can have a sneek peak.
The booties for both dolls
were made from the roll top booties pattern
I just changed the hook size to a 3.5mm
for the Edward booties.
The dress isn't quite finished yet as it needs the arms
adding.
Here is what it should look like when finished:
You can find the free pattern at Bella Bambina Knits
Now about Lydia.
I can't recommend this seller on ebay enough!
When she arrived she was beautifully wrapped
in a shiny silk like material.
She has been sprayed with newborn baby smell.
There was "It's a girl" confetti throughout the box.
She came with a birth certificate for you to fill out
& a sonogram picture of a baby.
She also came with her own baby bottle.
Her head is weighted and has been beautifully painted
to make it look like a real baby.
With all the mottled skin and eyelashes she looks perfect.
(sorry the picture isn't perfect)
She also has nails on her hands
that have been painted and if you touch them they feel like
real nails and they even protued from the fingers slightly.
Her head is weighted so you
have to support it like a real baby.
She is 18" long so is perfect for newborn clothes :-)
She came in her baby grow and beautiful knitted cardigan.
I could not recommend this doll enough.
I bought her from the seller cottagesale on ebay

Now onto what else I've finished this week.
I'm afriad with all the baby clothes it's not a lot.
I have however finished my Scarecrow Hat

I hope you like him.
I thought he turned out really well :-)
Perfect for Halloween\Thanksgiving\Harvest festival

Now it's your turn
It doesn't have to be crocheting
anything you've made is more than welcome!

    1. Thank you ever so much. I hope you'll like Lydia's even more when it's finished. I've added arms to the dress and a matching hat and I am hoping to make her trousers for underneath as well.
