Attach the top of the head to the top of the hat (you will use this to attach the hair to the hat)

Hair
Dark Brown yarn & any hook
Measure lengths of yarn from the 2nd row up of the dark brown to the bottom of the hat, double the length before cutting.  Use this method all the way around and then move up a row (remember it only needs to be fringe length at the front).
Put your hook through one of the sc of the dark brown

Fold your length of wool in half and pull the loop through

Then pull the other ends of the yarn through the loop you have created

Pull it tight and that’s your first bit of hair made.
Carry on around the hat until you have the desired shape.  It is better to make the hair slightly too long as it can always be cut to style

White Yarn & 4mm (6) hook

Row 1)                 2 sc in 2nd ch from hk, ch 1, turn (2)
Row 2)                 2 sc inc, ch 1, turn (4)

Row 6)                 1 sc dec, 2 sc, 1 sc dec, ch 1, turn
Row 7)                 2 sc dec, ch 1, turn (2)
Row 8)                 1 sc dec, finish (1) (leave enough yarn to attach to the hat)

Pupils x 2
Dark Brown Yarn & 4mm (6) hook
Ch 2
Round 1)              6 sc in 2nd ch from hk (6)
Round 2)              6 sc inc (12), 2 ss, finish (leave enough yarn to attach to the eye)

Attach the pupil to the eye
Mouth
Black Yarn & 5mm (H) hook
Hold the yarn at the back of the hat, put the hook from front to back and pull a loop through.  Go to next stitch hole & put the hook through front to back again and pull another loop through the hat and through the loop on your hook.  Do this until you have created the shape of a mouth.

Attach the eyes and the mouth to the hat
