Welcome to Tuesday's Patterns
Yesterday my dog Benji
decided to give me heart failure.
Benji went outside in the garden and I'd gone upstairs for something.
The next thing I heard is banging coming up the stairs.
I was like "Benj what are you doing"
He came round the corner and had no control of his limbs.
As soon as he saw me he collapsed and his limbs started going everywhere.
His eyes weren't right and looked rolled into his head.
I held him and tried to keep him calm but it just wouldn't stop.
I felt his paws and they felt warm so I got cold water and put them in that to cool his paws down.
He was still the same. I knew I had to get downstairs to get the phone but he wanted to follow me.
I had to calm him down enough to get downstairs and back up again.
The stairs are my enemy but I knew I had to do it.
I called hubby and told him to get home now as I thought the dog was dying.
I didn't think that was an exaggeration at the time as Benj was now frothing at the mouth.
After what seemed liked hours Benji managed to become still.
I kept putting his paws in the water to keep them cool.
I also held him to keep him calm and still.
I then rang the vets and although it was open 9:30am - 5:30pm the vet had gone out for 2 hours.
I found another vet and we took him there.
£27 later we were told it was likely he had a fit.
As he isn't having them all the time & his temperature had gone down again
there isn't anything they can really do.
If he has a fit a month they would put him on medication but apart from that
it is just a case of keeping an eye on him.
He had a kink in his tail from when he was a puppy and the only thing different since the fit is
his tail is bent more.
I coped but I hope I never have to again.
All I kept thinking was how devastated Little Red would be if anything happened to his Benj.
Now back to our normal Tuesdays post.

Now back to our normal Tuesdays post.
Do you have a pattern
that you want to tell people about?
It could be a pattern that you have designed/selling etc
or a pattern you've followed and loved.
This weeks theme and pattern is dogs!
I love dogs and I have passed this love onto Little Red.
As soon as I saw this book I knew I had to purchase it!
Ami Ami Dogs: Seriously Cute Crochet
by Mitsuki Hoshi
I love it and it is really easy to follow.
Little Red couldn't make his mind up for ages!
He loved them all.
He finally decided on:
Labrador Retriever
I think he turned out really well.
If you love dogs & love making ami's I would
recommend this book.
In this book you get patterns for:
12 kinds of dogs, including:
Chihuahua, Welsh Corgi, Shiba,
Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Miniature Dachshund, Siberian Husky,
Labrador Retriever, Maltese, Miniature Schnauzer,
French Bulldog, Beagle and Pug.
He loved them all.

Now it's your turn.
Have you designed or followed a pattern
that you would like to promote
It doesn't have to be a free pattern & it doesn't have to follow the theme.

ReplyDeleteTouch wood he hasn't had anymore fits but his tail is a bit bent. He'd already broken it slightly before we got him but it is slightly worse now.
