WIP Wednesday 14/03/12

Good morning everyone.
It's WIP Wednesday :-)

I haven't made anymore progress on my african flower blanket
so no pictures this week.

I have made progress on my Granny Blanket.
It's really easy to do with your mind switched off
so I have found myself adding a row or two each day.
I must admit I'm going to miss it when I've finished.
I would make another one as they are fun to make.

I wish would could get some sunlight so I could take better pictures but no such luck.
As per usual it's a grey day outside!

The coloured yarn in the middle is some yarn that I got
for free from a magazine.
I only had a small amount but Little Red loved the colours.
I decided to make it a feature and once there wasn't
enough colour left I just used white.
I'm unsure how large I'm going to make it.
I don't think I'll make it much bigger as it's for Little Red.
I don't want it to weigh too much.
I am really liking how it turned out.

I am hopefully make a spoon mug cozy for my physio.
She is giving up some of her dinner to get me a walking stick.
I wanted to give her a little something to say thank you.
I am possibly going to look into a spoon set of
things for people who suffer from diseases
that people can't see but it affects your
stamina etc.
I know there is already a spoon campaign on the go
but I want to do my bit to spread the word.

As soon as the yarn arrives I need to make my sons hat.
It didn't turn up yesterday so hopefully it will arrive today.

I hope you are all having a good Wednesday and I hope
you will visit the other wonderful people showing
you what they are making.

  4. I so agree with the fun projects that you don't have to think about. Sometimes you just need to let you mind wander. And the never ending granny is perfect! Love the colors, you've really grown it.
