I was feeling a bit down after having my throat infection for so long
The fatigue has really kicked in and the house looks like a bomb has hit it.
Then I saw a van park up outside my house!
If I had the energy I would of jumped up and down.
I was so excited opening up the box and it was even better when I opened it up.
The bag is fantastic, I love the tapemeasure handles
Looking inside was better than Christmas
Fantastic books and magazines
Beautiful yarn and more books :-)
More beautiful yarn!
and a cute little tape measure
I just don't know what I am going to make with all this yarn and which book to choose something from first :-)
Back to FO Friday:
Here is the secret image finished :-)
My five year old son wanted me to make a bag for his girlfriend
It's his first ever girlfriend so who am I to say no.
If they don't stay together to Valentines day I know of a couple
of other little girls who would love this bag.
I used a Tunisian Crochet knit and purl stitch
I don't think it's too bad for my first go
Please go and see the other things that have been made by other fantastic crafters;
Wow, lucky you, what an awesome gift! I love the bag handles... Maybe I need to make a bag now, so I can have tape measure handles too!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! Hope you feel better!
ReplyDeleteI think the little bag is perfect! But aren't they getting awfully serious for five years old?

ReplyDeleteThat is a truly awesome bag ... tape measure handles?! What a wonderful thing to arrive while you're ill!
ReplyDeleteGreat job on supporting the little boy's first girlfriend! She'll always remember him, so long as she has the little purse!
Wow! That is a nice prize. I LOVE the bag and all the goodies make it even better.
ReplyDeleteOh Susan what a fab surprise to drag your mind out of the nasty virus!!
ReplyDeleteI adore your Tunisian collar/ cape!
And it is sooo sweet that you made the bag for your son's girlfriend (even if the romance doesn't last :)
My son is 6, and it is the greatest of appraisals of my work when he sees something I made (and he likes) he says: Will you make one for Daria? (Daria is his girlfriend )So cute!
We went to the shops today and Ryan bought her a chocolate rose to go with the bag. I wanted him to get a heart lollipop to fit in the bag but he decided it had to be a rose. We don't do anything for valentines day so I don't know where he has learnt all about it. Very sweet.
ReplyDeleteThank you all for your kind comments. I still haven't decided what I'm going to make first :-)
I'm so glad that you were able to enjoy the giveaway items at such a time when you needed to get them most!!
